An art manifesto is a declaration of your artistic principles or intentions and is commonly of a political nature.
My Art Manifesto
I solemnly swear to uphold the following principals, not just in the three years that I am at PCA but in my continuing career and development;
- To create work that changes peoples perceptions of art,
for example; by using unconventional materials, designs or messages.
- That art must be individual and responsible.
- To consider the environment, when choosing materials.
- To use recycled, sustainable, or re-usable materials in my work.
- To consider the sustainability of my work, its effect on the earth, and its impact when discarded.
- To not unnecessarily waste.
- To promote the idea that art is for everyone.
- Accessible to everyone.
- and possible for everyone to own
- As well as a force for social change and personal development.
Signed, L. S. Axworthy
